The iDoo and the RoyalsellPro Garden Kits
These kits make it easy to grow herbs, vegetables or flowers in the garage (or indoors). The iDoo and the RoyalsellPro garden starter kits grow vegetables, flowers, succulents, herbs, and fruit. You will often find that one is on sale, so I posted them both on this page for you to view. Look for the Amazon coupon box under the title to buy at a discount.
The iDoo and the RoyalsellPro Common Features
Here’s what the iDoo and RoyalsellPro have in common. I’ll highlight the differences at the end of this description. The iDoo has seven pods and the RoyalsellPro has 9 pods. Neither machine comes with seeds (or water), but everything else is in the box. Buy seeds locally from a farm or garden department. Put seeds in the baskets, then place the pods into the receptacles. Fill the bucket with a nutrient solution, add the baskets, and turn on the light. The seeds will germinate under the lights. The light timer turns the grow lights on and off for photosynthesis. The water alarm warns you when the bucket needs refilling. Each kit comes with nutrition solutions to feed the growing plants. Both kits comes with a bucket, light, baskets, pods, light timer and water alarm. You add the seeds and water. Typical plants include (but are not limited to):
- romaine lettuce
- green leaf lettuce
- red leaf lettuce
- spinach
- green onion
- yellow onion
- red onion
- celery
- sugar beet
- cherry tomatoes
- bell pepper
- chili pepper
- rosemary
- cilantro
- parlsey
- sage
- thyme
- basil
- lemon balm
- basil
- dill
- strawberries
- orchids
- impatiens
The Light Height Adjustments
The iDoo light height adjusts from 1.5 to 13 inches. At the plants grow, you raise the light to give the plants more room to grow. The RoyalsellPro light raises up, but at the top, it swivels out of the way. From there, the light shines on the side of the plants. This gives you grow room to the ceiling.
Seven vs. Nine Pods
The RoyalsellPro comes with nine pods and baskets. The iDoo comes with 10 baskets but fits only seven in the bucket at a time. This means you’ll grow nine or seven plants at a time.
