Since my favorite garage vacuum cleaner for 2023 is not a wet vac, I am inclined to keep the DeWalt around for messy spills. I found three wet vacuum cleaners I like. Each has its own pros and cons that we'll get into below.
The best wet/dry garage vacuum for 2023 is the DeWalt DXV06P, followed closely by the VacMaster VB1210 and the Craftsman 7590. The Stanely SL18191P tied for 3rd place except that its warranty was only 1 year.

The DeWalt DXV06P Wins the Wet Vac Contest
The DeWalt is always in the top 3 of either the wet vac or wall-mounted vacuum contests.
It has the usual dry pickup, and the required wet pickup, and the machine converts into a blower.
If you want the best blower, scroll down to the Vacmaster. It holds 9 gal. of water and has a typical peak power of 5 HP.
The DeWalt has a 17 ft. total reach between the cord and hose, not including the extension wand.
The warranty is a standout with 3 years of coverage, one year of free service, and a 90-day money-back trial period.
It wins for the best warranty, as the wet vacs this year are fairly equal. Besides, I like bright yellow.

The VacMaster 210 MPH 2nd Place Wet Vac Winner
I just love this VacMaster vacuum (model VBV1210), especially for cleaning the garage in the fall.
It's just a given that stuff blows into the garage in the fall. The VacMaster 1210 includes a detachable 210 mph leaf blower.
That's an insane amount of power, greater than a Category 5 hurricane.
So don't vacuum the garage. It should only take a minute or two to blow everything out the doors.
The VacMaster has a dry, wet, and of course blow, a 12 Gal. tank (huge), and a peak 5 HP motor. The total reach is 19 ft. between the hose and cord, not including the extension wand. It has a 2-year warranty. And a 210 MPH blower!

The Third Place Craftsman Wet Vac for 2023
We don't need a third place this year, because the first and second-place winners check all the boxes (except hose storage, no one had that right).
I included the Craftsman CMXEVBE17590 in third place because it has a similar warranty and specs to the DeWalt and VacMaster.
It's six or one-half dozen of the other.
